While I agree that Skyrim (and Oblivion) is stripped down compared to Morrowind, I found Morrowind to Oblivion a much worse transition than Oblivion to Skyrim was. At the very least, I feel like Skyrim improved on Oblivion's flaws.

A lot of Morrowind's skills were superfluous, so I'm fine with the loss of Medium Armor,

They had a release. Then they took it down.

Also, how was Oblivion better at being Morrowind-y than Skyrim? Shivering Isles aside, of course.

Yeah, I don't think they could even if they wanted to.

Same. AMD 8 core (8150?) and an older Radeon HD 5k series graphics card. Game runs perfectly on max settings... which, it'd be kinda embarrassing if my GPU couldn't render a mostly cardboard world.

Radeon HD5k series here, works fine enough for me.

Also, it feels like most of the major issues (the retarded ones) have been fixed. There isn't the same moshpitting anymore. Not that you would've experienced that if you couldn't play it.

Pretty sure Steam's pre-order is permanent.

Hopefully less than 2 days and 15 hours from now :P

Ok, yeah, missed that bit on the end.

Has Kotaku reviewed it yet? I saw a video on Rev3 games that was sort-of a review, so I'm guessing there isn't any kind of embargo?

I'll tell you what I tell everyone else. It's retarded. It's retarded, but I love it.

It's a popcorn anime, something you watch and have a few laughs. The animation is gorgeous, the soundtrack is great, and the show does a good job at poking fun at modern life. Also, since it's completely episodic, no need to watch it

NHL Hitz. Damn that game was fun. Wasn't it also like 4x4 or some other reduced team size?

Can you actually make use of the back-end for cuts when using the blade with two hands? I don't think I've seen it, and I'm finding it awkward to put myself through the motions required to. Any videos?

But yes, single-edged weapons in Europe were used quite differently. Messers and other traditional single-edged

Read that in his voice.

I always find it interesting how, fanboyism nonsense aside, East and West are not that different when it comes to historical two-handed swordsmanship.

Actually, American workers move to Canada all the time. By American workers, I mean people working for American businesses... those workers usually being foreigners. Even with Canada's higher taxes, the cost of not dealing with American immigration makes it worthwhile.

I'm not that impressed/sold.

Too much Bayformers, not enough G1. Can't ever have enough G1.

Seems I'm wrong, they've taken down the download links for now. Still, you may as well check out their stuff. Here's the latest model for the new ebony armor. It's quite different from the original game's armor, but far more Morrowind-esque.

Yeah, it's not something that these trailers advertise very well. The game is playable, and they're calling it a Beta for now. There's even a let's play or two out there.

You can download it now. While still WiP, the world is there. Ok, everyone is naked, the stairs a bit fucked up (apparently the coding for it has been fixed, but not sure if its general release yet), and there are rough patches, but the world is fully recreated.
