I scrolled through to see if anyone else was going to mention Time Bandits. That movie scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid.

Yeah, Time Bandits had some straight up scary stuff in it. Part of it's definitely David Warner, but some of the scenes in general kind of freaked me out when I was younger. I love the movie now, but it took me forever to actually watch the whole thing when I was a kid.

This scene in the Dark Crystal scared the balls out of me as a kid. The Skeksis are scary enough as it is, but when the Emperor crumbles like that, I freaked the fuck out.
