This is why, as someone with a pay-as-you-go phone, a real pay-as-you-go phone, I don't count people who set up auto-withdrawls and bank accounts and credit cards with their phone as people with a pay-as-you-go phone. If you've got it auto-deducting your money, then it's just a regular phone, the only difference is

Remi Aubuchon took over Falling Skies? Apparently I do need to check out the second season. I really did not have any hope after that very, very, very weak first season, but with Aubuchon in charge, it's definitely worth a peek.

Don't worry, I'm sure the microbial life won't survive in ice, ice which eventually gets used for water by human settlers, releasing the long-trapped microbial life into the bodies of humans...

Apple didn't invent the apple, yet they can sue anyone who dares to use the word or a picture of an apple, even the notoriously litigious Appleseed family—why can't Microsoft sue the pants of anyone who dares to disagree with them? Steal Apple's lawyers if necessary.

To be fair, series 6 opened with (spoilers) The Doctor dying... but, of course, he didn't when that was finally resolved. Plus, I love Matt Smith too much to be able to deal with him leaving any time soon.

Jerm of 2001 is pissed and worried about my security.

Yes.

If the tracks didn't cut in front of your plate, and if the trains could be set up to carry actual goods (salt, butter, the bowl of mashed potatoes, etc.) to specific people, this could actually be a really good, efficient, intelligent, useful creation.

These holes, however, eliminate the ability to contain any spillage to the tray itself, which, in addition to moving multiple items easily at once, is pretty much one of the two purposes a tray can serve.

I don't think medical procedures come down to "what you can afford". Medical treatment should be available for anyone. I resent the idea of one set of procedures for the rich, and another for the rest of us.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Instagram is worth a billion dollars, but ornate, detailed models of sea ships made in the 19th century out of bones by POWs are only worth tens of thousands?!?

Babies of rich people who can afford this?

Can't wait until Sweden wakes up to discover the country has been turned into Minecraft.

Works fine for me... though I'm in Canada and it appears as if I default search with Google.ca, so that could be something...

Gizmodo has switched over to the Gawker-style commenting system?!? No, no, no, no!

Ah, the future. Where everyone is equal and there's no discrimination whatsoever. Except those who were genetically engineered before their birth through no fault of their own. KILL THEM ALL!

3. To be fair, you list three movies from 2005-08 as costing $150m for the first movie and that being understandable, with it not being until the sequels that you spend a lot. Now first films are costing $200m and that's too much for a first film, it's sequel money.

Whoa now, don't go killing SMS! Some of us don't have smart phones yet!

I really, really, really am not trying to start anything, but I think this is one reason people hate capitalism. A business splitting into two companies so they an sell part of their business but keep another so they can stay profitable but losing the loss... it's all very confusing, and it just seems wrong.

Hell, WMP and iTunes both that far longer to boot up than they should on my relatively modern computer today.
