How does the ASUS Transformer make the iPad look bad?

So if I exclusively eat veal, I'm fine?

You keep using this word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Apple doesn't care, and there is no way they cut shut this down if they did. Unless they ban HTML from running on the iPhone.

Apple doesn't give a damn if you tether.

But Best Buy and Wal-Mart work on a wholesale model rather than an agency model. Both companies buy the TV from Samsung for $300 and sell it for whatever they want.

You seem to be pulling that assumption out of nowhere. UMB has no idea what amount of money Apple devoted to iPad R&D, marketing, etc.

But Apple doesn't have a "scheme." The agency pricing model isn't a scheme. It's an established pricing model that Apple happened to choose to use for its iBooks store.

Apple isn't setting any prices. Apple has no agreements with its competitors to set prices. They have vertical agreements with content providers only. Therefore Apple is 100% not guilty of price-fixing.

I'm just saying that if there was collusion involved, that's a horizontal agreement. Apple's contracts with publishers are vertical agreements.

iPad now has:

Some people might have a romanticized movie version of anti-trust, but you clearly don't understand it.

Then I think you need to look up the legal definition of price fixing.

That's not what price fixing is at all.

That article seems to show the A5 as significantly more powerful than the Tegra 3, and the A5X is presumably significantly more powerful than the A5 (quad-core GPU).

It was. All text will be rendered in native resolution, and all graphics will be upscaled.

Actually not true at all.

Yeah, I think they'll have to release the new software with the new iPad.

I have an iPad 1 (will be upgrading later this week or next week or whenever), and use it for about 3 or 4 hours a day. Have to charge it every third day or so.

Yep, and the next update (presumably in the next week or two) will restore that ability for 4S users.
