It’s the principle of confidentiality itself that needs to be protected rather than the specific circumstances. Privacy considerations have to be across the board in order to be effective. The precedent of breaking confidentiality is dangerous.

Yes! I thought there was something wrong with my hair till a hairstylist friend who works in the industry told me that EVERYONE wears fake hair on TV. They all wear some kind of wig, weave, or extensions, even if they have great natural hair. Makes it easier for continuity.

don’t bother. once a holier than thou, always a holier than thou

I love how people are acting like the privacy considerations for elective plastic surgery and essential medical services are the same. The threat of employers discriminating against medical patients with chronic illnesses (for example) is extremely real, and not comparable to the specter of some gossip about a person

I always think it must drive hairstylists crazy when clients come in with pictures of red carpet celebs. Like #1 that’s styled hair, it won’t look like that without styling. #2 you won’t have that body without extensions or wigs.

Did I mention again the part where we were stupid drunk 18 year olds? We got silly, we asked questions, and again we never talked about it again. Because once we were sober 18 year olds again we realized that would be shitty to do, so kindly fuck off with the outrage.

All entertainers- regardless of ethnicity- wear wigs and weaves. Doing your hair to the 9s every day is really hard on it. The only reason people are shocked by white women wearing weaves and wigs is because the racism in the country has fooled everyone in to believing white women don’t do anything to their hair. That

Not surprising. We’ve been telling y’all this forever.

But on the opposite end of the spectrum, not having electronic medical records delays care and hinders patient safety.

It’s definitely a violation of HIPAA but that goes to the clinic, who I assume could face fines for not having secure systems to keep this sort of thing from happening. I am sure there are civil and criminal consequences for the employee as well but when people sue for violation of privacy they’ll be going after the

Criminals aren’t usually very smart. And yeah, the HIPAA violations alone...

Stealing and making-public medical records has got to carry a jail sentence, right?

I’ve worked in the medical field for 30 years (including 12 years for a plastic surgery practice), and the idea that electronic medical records are a boon to patient privacy is, in ways we continue to learn, counter-intuitive. I mean, if you wanted to steal 15000 medical records in the 80s, you’d need a big-ass truck

I just got hit with divorce papers so excuse me while I hate all this because love is #dead.....

Cruz is just 100% pure uncut asshole; even his family despises him, so...how the hell does he keep getting elected? What platform does he run on? He can’t possibly be getting anything done since every single coworker loathes his face, so what does he hold up in his ads as proof that he’s working for his constituents?

But then leaves a tuna lunch in the fridge way too long and gets super mad if anyone throws it away.

In the Salon review of season 5, the reviewer compliments Robin Wright’s Claire Underwood by stating Underwood would dine on Ivanka Trump in a protein smoothie. Now, that would be appointment viewing.

How can anyone respect that bunglecunt Cruz when he rolled over and showed his soft, white belly to trump after trump insulted his wife and father and Cruz then took his fucking wife and daughter to have dinner with trump? Fuck that weasely shit stain.

i miss her short hair and i hate this need to always have to be edgy and different because i loved this look on her
