Good point, the Wranglers do fare better then the rest of the lineup - but some of that may be due to the Wranglers...old...architecture? Much like the old Ford Rangers that shared components over the years.

Its not just Consumer Reports (their ACSI report is actually run by the University of Michigan). J.D. Power also gives the brand one of its lowest ratings. I can’t ignore all the press when going to shop for the 2nd most expensive purchase I will make.

I’d love to buy a Jeep - really! I’ve always wanted a Wrangler. But the brand’s reliability has been horrid. Its hard to ignore it, hard enough in fact, that I have to write them off for now.

My wife’s old Taurus had them. I referred it to is the Ford Taurus Grandma Edition.

My dad has Pilot, had to beef up the suspension with air ride’s just to tow a large pop-up camper because the ride was so bad. Bleck...

Its ALWAYS the damned answer.

MN’s pretty awesome. “Goin’ north to the cabin” is a summer tradition for most families. A lot of boat manufacturers in MN as well. Maybe we could start boatlopnik and staff it here in the north star state.

But I live here in MN! I’ve had lots of fun in and around these unloved pseudo-lakes.

  1. From Wikipedia: Minnesota is known as The Land of 10,000 Lakes and officially there are 11,842 lakes more than ten acres (40,000 m²) in size. The prevalence of lakes has generated many repeat names.

Nope, it hasn’t.

And anyone that ever applied for a federal govt job.

Yea, Morries!

I remember folks from Mazda doing an entire presentation about this “car” at the Minneapolis Auto Show when I was a kid!

I-35E though St. Paul. Intentionally lower then the rest of the entire I-35 interstate and bans trucks because of rich people that live on a hill above it and their concerns about noise.

Holy crap - did you see that tire going flying back over the wall? The drivers might be OK but what about the person/thing the tire hit?!

I was thinking the same thing!

Preach on!

And a picture of mine for good measure!
