Certainly, but it’s male desire you’re commodifying. His desire is what is being objectified. You have to create desirable heroes, and then you have to show them desiring the heroine. That goes for any heroine, though, no matter who she is or what she looks like. You have to show the hero wanting, wanting, wanting.

What I usually see is that if it’s m/f, there’s the highest chance there was an actual photo shoot done, i.e. there’s touching. Then they’ll paste in another dude (or 2, or more than two) for menage romance. Then they’ll do cutout dudes for gay, don’t seem to do nearly so many photo shoots for those.
