I’m 40 and I get carded all the time. But recently at the grocery store while buying a bottle of wine with a bunch of actual food, the guy asked for ID and then said (UNSOLICITEDLY), “We ask anyone who looks under 40 now.” My husband turned to me and said, “So that’s like a big downgrade for you, babe.” I went from

When you think about the fact that these are the stories that happened in one week that made the media’s radar and don’t account for the dozens, perhaps hundreds of unreported but serious domestic violence incidents in every city and town in the nation, it can really mess with your head.

I was totally surprised to see the byline on this. I was sure it was Michael Douglas, guest writer.

“Did anyone really want/need that?”

So that lady the other year with the elbow “breasts” in the bathtub just needed to be dead in order to have her picture stay up. Got it.

Wait, let me fix this for you, here....

I agree with you that the idea that one person “kept” another person clean is....well, more or less a fantasy. I do get where you’re coming from* and I agree it’s very damaging for women in particular to buy into the narrative of being able to save someone from addiction. And I 110% agree there should be an open

Why didn’t they just shoot it first?

Really? I mean, I get where you’re coming from. But I’ve known people who stayed sober for that long (or close to it and in one case, twice as long) before going back to drugs and alcohol (or even starting it without a prior history) after a relationship ends. I don’t think any of that is uncommon.

Everything about it seems either made up or a disaster waiting to happen!

That’s simply untrue. It all depends on your own body. What medications or supplements you’re taking and your electrolyte level in general.

Nope. Nope. And also, nope.

Not to mention the whole dying from potassium-induced heart attack after a few weeks of this.

No. This isn’t cute or funny, it’s a horrible thing to say and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Well, considering they are a primate that is most like us, you have reason to be afraid!

I think it would be an eye-opener for you to know exactly how often women in “society” are being threatened with rape and sexual violence on a regular basis.

I read your plural cards as in the plural as it relates to the people who received them. My point, though, wasn’t to argue with you about it or anything, don’t get me wrong.

Just to clarify, the gift cards were two separately issued cards that totaled $1,000. One was a true Visa gift card, to be used anywhere you wanted and was $500. The other $500 card was only good at the dealership.

I didn’t actually say I had a food intolerance. I don’t. My mother suffered for a long time with what every doctor she saw diagnosed as a food “intolerance” but “nothing dangerous.” Despite extensive and exhaustive, continual testing, she remained entirely subclinical...until the night we almost lost her when she went

Don’t be sorry about your point. Its completely valid and I can see what you mean. I don’t pay any real attention to her site, but I’ve looked at it in the past and I do know what you mean about fasting and juicing and all that BS.
