Leia used the Force to survive and it was already done in Rebels when Kanan did the same thing.

But so many other things the Jedi do are supposed to be believable? They move rocks with thoughts and construct laser swords that somehow stop at a finite length.
And then TLJ took a shit on that same thing.
Look to Marvel for the road map to the Star Wars movies. How long did it take Marvel to really get weird?
I think Rian Johnson’s trilogy will be pretty far out there.
I don’t recall her saying that. She does, when asked by Han how she got it, say “that’s a story for another time.” Which I find to be a major cop-out.
Yea. (Not defending or attacking that choice/ change) ...I always thought of it as the force ghost taking on the image of Anakin when he was last himself and last a jedi.... and for me that carried over to how I viewed Luke’s appearance.... like, he’s sort of returned to the path where he had left it
She left the dice behind as a message to Kylo.
Right? You were caught up in the excitement/moment your brain didn’t click.
I’d imagine the point was that the original trilogy teased the idea of Leia as a Force user powerful enough to match Luke or Vader, but it never really followed up on that. Leia never really got a chance to show off those powers we heard about. Now after 30 years, we finally have the payoff.
Just like Yoda wanted to think of himself as a cool lovable muppet and not a CGI mess.
I reckon it’ll probably be blue since she’ll be using the crystal from the old, busted one—but I’d really like to be wrong. A yellow saberstaff would be perfect.
He already explained that. It was exploring Leia’s bloodline sensitivity to theForce. It was like adrenaline when you pick up a car off of your child. It was a reflex. She probably doesn’t remember that she did that. It was pure willpower combined with her innate connection to theForce. Also, how do we know she didn’t…
Its amusing that this scene also somewhat justifies using Christensen as Anakin’s force ghost in Jedi. Clearly they can exert control over the appearance of their astral projection, so it follows that they can also decide how they look as a ghost. And Anakin wanted to think of himself as he was before he fell (still…
You know the force isn’t real, right? I mean...you seem pretty worked up about this. I just want to make sure you know that the original trilogy wasn’t like a documentary.
So I’m guessing you’ve never played KOTOR II. Or that you ranted about how it, too, was being unfaithful to the mythos.
He cared a great deal. The last time we know of that Luke held a lightsaber was that fateful night in Ben’s hut. He obviously regrets it. That’s why we don’t see the green lightsaber in the whole movie except in flashbacks: Luke doesn’t DO lightsabers anymore. When Rey whacks him in the head with her stick he doesn’t…
Came for the bitter tears of the haters, and am extremely amused to find plenty. 😂
He’s 85. I kinda doubt money is all that important to him now.
