I just want to chime in on the GT kid here and thank goodness our moms never told us our scores front — the burden of expectation from a number can be too great for a kid to bear.

No, you're supposed to check your assumptions. Which, in both posts, are idiotic.

Not that long ago, first year salary was $125k. Not much before then it was under $100k.

Sleeping with a (unquestionably) married man? no, a lot of us have morals. What is it with girls in their 20s thinking it's okay? It's not — for her or him. Ugh.

so exciting and stressful all at once!

congratulations on your new life!

Ha ha! And not just the cultural touchstones, but the maturity ones: compromise. Consideration. Communication. Real respect for accomplishments and contributions to relationships and society.

And from the flip side, the thought of a 50 year old unable to hold his own among his peers — i.e., date women his own age — bothers me more. It's just such a flag of immaturity and escapism. Who can respect that other than similarly immature escapist dudebros?

This is INFURIATING. And it's not just Idaho, it's the majority of states. In large part because they think they'll see greater child support from the non-parenting parent and therefore pay less in state support. But the douchecanoes end up paying next to nothing and the responsible parents end up carrying the burden

That's a travesty.

I know the Kochs have already started spending $ in the state again. Ugh. So embarassing for the state!

See, e.g.,

Never mind that the request for such edification by scientists came to the United States from the President of Uganda.

maybe you remember better than I do grothman's comments about single mothers being the root cause of all evil? and trying to ban divorce? such a total ass.

yes, he was.

Ugh! If some new girlfriend did that with my child while the guy was talking smack about me...well, let's just say that would not be allowed to happen.

Editing of course necessary!! Good luck; let us know how it goes!

they've worked for friends in similar straits a lot better than online dating.

and then you'd run the other way, right?!

that's rough! sorry you've had to go through this but hope you are stronger for it. (you do sound that you are.)
