I think it’s stupid to equate this to Steam’s lack of censorship (which is the heart of their content policies). This shitty game would have made it through ever since they decided to stop moderating (which, critically, is not the same as self-censoring content) releases which started with Greenlight and went into

When you have to clarify to people there is more to you than being JUST a Holocaust denier...wait, does this guy pull his mask off and it’s Sacha Baron Cohen?

As a man who has struggled with sexual anxiety and body issues for years I have to say that this is a pretty bad take.

I hate the man like poison, but he’s far from the least visibly masculine man I’ve seen. I haven’t had a physique like his since I was 18:

Nikki Glaser killed it at the roast last night but then again, she always does. Love her!

Excuse me but are you suggesting that a man who was raised by a Klansman who was arrested for rioting over there being too many Catholics in the police department and who also wants to outlaw Islam, making it a centerpiece of his campaign, would also have a problem with Jews?

I loathe Kushner, but I am also kind of getting an “ew, she picked that wimpy Jewboy” vibe from from this- both the quote and the coverage. So I’m not feeling great about it.

It could work in a small group of people who all have low expectations and are personally invested in each other, but I don’t think it can be sustained. With a little time and a little success, clear winners and losers in the “everyone gets paid the same” model will emerge.

this is nonsense from a business standpoint. "sounds like its working too", nope it isnt. its keeping them from expanding beyond 11 employees, disuading high skill workers (why would a senior engineer work someplace where they get paid the same as the PR rep who just sits on twitter and goes to conventions?), and

Equal compensation is only attractive to people with the least to contribute.

I am in no way in support of DRM. But then these shits get in trouble and try to take some moral high ground about their actions. Yes, there are multiple reasons for someone to want a cracked game but we all have to admit that the vast majority are doing it because they can get something for free.

Yes, because the most UNpopular games are the ones pirated most. Bingo!

I fully understand that there are a number of arguments and justifications for piracy (to include exorbitant pricing models in some nations, inaccessibility of titles in nations where they were not formally released, etc).

Understanding that does not change one fundamental fact: In most cases, piracy. Is. Theft.

Spare

Funny he spins it like he’s doing a favor to people removing the bloat, but all they’ve done is bypass the protections. It’s still there, it still uses any resources it was designed to use, just no longer making any calls to the internet but it’s still active.

Worst take.

The electoral college?

People always ask me if I plan to go back to where I grew up. Nah, man. I left for a fucking reason. I am smart enough to make a living in a ridiculously expensive city just so I can avoid the dipshits I grew up around.

We don’t hate women, not all of us, we just hate the awkward double standard. Beat a woman at a sport and its expected, lose to one and you are ridiculed. Let her pass you and you get called out for being to easy on them, give a hard tackle and you are bullying. It is a no-win situation for men.

That’s a fair point. On the other hand, I heard of a taxi driver in NYC who shot up a bordello to rescue a teenage Jodie Foster.

I have to laugh when anyone points out the former “regulated taxi services” as a noble industry that wasn’t completely corrupt and bordering in useless in most cities. I remember calling cabs in LA and they just simply not show up, or would be an hour past the time they said they’d get there. When you did get a ride,
