People have been pushing against the military shooter industrial complex for a while - DICE spins 1 out every two years and though there’s a new COD every year there’s been rumblings about franchise fatigue for a while now. Besides those two, there aren’t that many FPSs.

My understanding from everything I’ve read is that the push into the MMO looter-shooter was all Bioware and they’ve been trying to get away from the single-player RPG reputation for a while now.

AFAIK this is all on Bioware.  

Destiny 2 is fucked as well.  People are completely over the looter-shooter.  Destiny 1's community by the end was literally just people grinding the year 1 raids and people playing PvP.  Destiny 2's pvp sucks and Anthem has no pvp - trust me, this game is DOA. 

It literally looks like a visually stunning cross between Destiny and Titanfall 2 set in third person.  This game is going to crash and burn on arrival. 

Some games hold up really well. Empire: Total War holds up really well despite being 10 years old. Mass Effect 1 and 2 also hold up pretty well.

It was really pretty bad. I tried to rewatch on Netflix the other day and was surprised at how bad it was.

There’s so many points that are just poorly and badly done, and so many characters who are unlikeable, that it’s a pretty unsalvageable movie on the whole.
