No, I already owned one. Question was between which platform to buy Destiny 2 for, as I didn’t want to invest time and money playing it on two separate platforms.

It absolutely generates sales. When it came time to choose between Destiny 2 on PS4 vs. PC, I picked on PS4 (and bought through the PSN store) because of the exclusives.

That’s what I’m getting at. If the systems are basically the same (which they are), priced nearly the same, and almost have the same library of games, then you have to get competitive advantages at the margins - multiplatform content exclusivity is one of those advantages.

They’re only disavowing exclusivity because they’re behind the curve now. They were the biggest abuser of exclusivity when the 360 was king and now that they got killed in sales they’re trying to take the high road.

Then what’s your suggestion? What differentiates the platforms given that they have substantially identical specs and generally the same library of AAA barring about a half dozen big exclusives on each side?
