It doesn’t work like that. There is 100% no place in the US with telephones or internet where a cult militia could execute people openly and engage in open gun battles with local law enforcement without getting the FBI involved.

> But EA has a well-documented history of hindering their developers as well as empowering them

I fully agree with this take and think it is good, and it’s generally applicable to other publishers such as Activision.

If you read Blood, Tears and Pixels (guys, buy it, it’s $10 and you can basically read it in a

Chicago resident here - this has been a weird election season for us. You can’t watch a youtube video without being bombarded by ads for Pritzker or Rauner, while the other candidates (that one super far right woman and Liss? Biss? Can’t remember his name) have been trying to go guerrilla with mass mails on text

Goes to show you the difference between your random internet message board “gamer” and someone actually in the business who understands how this stuff works.

If I remember, Jason’s (fantastic) breakdown of ME:Andromeda showed that the problems inherent to that game were almost entirely of Bioware’s own making, and EA

> I’m probably setting myself up for trouble

Best advice I can give you is do not go down this rabbit hole - there are a lot of people with intensely bizarre beliefs about sexuality that will be profoundly contrary to what we have agreed upon as a society.

When I was in middle school, you “asked a girl out” to get her to basically agree to be your girlfriend. Then you’d awkwardly cuddle and occasionally kiss on specific times on friday and thursday afternoons.

The first girl I “asked out”, she said “where would we go?” Turns out, I did not have a backup plan for this now

> I hope everyone thinks very carefully about that before blaming the victim

I mean, the law will disagree with you here, but go for it.

A good fruitcake will have a bunch of fruit and will basically be like monkeybread soaked in alcohol. The problem is that most people associate fruitcake with the dessert that became popular between the 50s-80s which is definitely gross.

His character was excellent in the Wire and it’s good to see that he’s made an evidently successful transition to even bigger and better things.

> I would think that any tax lawyer worth his salt would probably make the argument that MLB or NBA, etc. is one collective entity

This isn’t how tax law works in the fucking slightest. Jesus christ

More options is never a bad thing. Women can have BC too, allowing the pill for men just alleviates the risk in case the woman forgets the pill or something.

It’s hocus pocus. The NYT piece is good and there was a 60 minutes or similar piece on it - the only times the patient showed any of his supposed faculties were when he was alone with Stubblefield.

You’re conflating the consideration for her silence ($130,000) with Trump’s potential damages.

Whether $1 million per breach is reasonable will require findings by a court, but the $130,000 payment is just what Stormy’s silence was worth to her, not the monetary value of harm to Trump is Stormy breached the NDA.

I can’t believe this isn’t getting more coverage. It’s such a flippant, childish thing to do it’s legitimately confusing why he would think it’s even remotely appropriate.

> I’d do it via the income tax because that system is already in place.

If you try and implement a progressive tax to fund single-payer you may as well kiss that dream goodbye.

> I can’t for the life of me understand why the national party is so afraid of moderate populism like expanding healthcare or minimum wage.

You need a VAT, until the Democrats embrace one single payer is a nonstarter here.

The guy has martial arts training - this article omitted it and makes him sound weirder than he is.

Guy gets fucking maimed by his crazy fucking ex and all the comments can focus on is one oddball comment by the guy.
