I’ve noticed a trend in more recent years — affected by politics and other depressing real-world goings-on — where the most popular scary stories are along the lines of /LetsNotMeet instead of supernatural phenomenon. Kind of a sad indication of the times.

Sadly, this kind of behavior is absolutely normalized in machismo cultures. Just look at professional athletic teams, there is often a lot of behaviors that should raise an eyebrow at the very least.

This is why rape jokes, gay jokes and jokes about anal sex are not okay. It normalizes this kind of behavior to the point where people think sodomizing another person (cuz the ghey) is funny.
