Well, MY childhood didn't shatter, but my parents told me they were filthy Commie spies at the same time I learned about Santa Claus, so no harm, no foul.

Overall, nothing on PBS Kids is going to steer you wrong

If this were typical AV Club programming, I'd say your preference for Sofia the First over Backyardigans is akin to preferring Big Bang Theory over Community. To each his own, I say! But, you know, lists.

Good selection, although I can really do without Sesame Street's pandering to Gen X-millenials with their guest stars. The show itself gets an "A", but I find that part of it to be grating. It's not like Laurie Berkner ever shows up on Justified.

I am unpersuaded by this.

Hey guys, Robb and Catelyn Stark are murdered by the Freys at Edmure's wedding. HA HA HA HA HA!!! LATER, JERKS!

Here's the problem with all three of them, though it's hardly their fault (and Colbert in particular deserves lavish praise for everything he's done since Strangers With Candy): people think they somehow go against the mainstream media grain, represent alternative views, and worst of all—actually report real news.

Nah, it's from The Royal Tenenbaums (check it out)

"Everyone knows that Custer died at the Battle of Little Big Horn. What this book PRESUPPOSES is…maybe he didn't?"

This show has been so good, I might even watch in on-time tonight, and endure the commercials just this once, to drop a tip in FX's jar

I tried to check out the Shield, and I just couldn't get into it. Watched the first four episodes of season one. It seems really dated to me, in a way that the other prestige shows from 2000-ish do not.

In my family, we call our aunt's husband "Uncle", but that's beside the point: You are correct about the writing. You told a whole story in one sentence!

Fun fact 2: He was a pretty old fella when he made her, which confirms the rumors you've heard: Jimmy Carter never stopped making babies

I hate to nitpick an excellent comment, but, as a father myself, I'm not sure what he did was really all that evil. If the choice is the life of a malevolent gangster versus his ex-wife and baby, that's really no kind of choice. I'm glad there are people that are implacable in their adherence to the law, yet at the

Anytime someone says the phrase "white people problems", I assume their parents are rich, or at least still paying their cell phone bill.

I'll have to watch it again, I suppose. Apparently it's a "grower".

What is it about these dumb lists that make me want to fight people? I challenge you to a fake duel over your assessment of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

That movie reminds me of the Boondock Saints. Undeniably cool parts, beloved cult following, but oh man did I hate the sum total of it. Then again, who am I? Nobody!

Are you sure you're not talking about Wanda Sykes?

Keep scrolling down. They know.
