Seconded, the DSG is completely worth it. I wanted a manual, but I plan on tuning mine and the stock clutch doesn’t hold up.

POP! goes the side curtain airbags.

My logic is (assuming an interest rate <= inflation) a loan that is 12 months less than the warranty period is acceptable. So 60 month loan on a car with a 72 month warranty, 36 month loan on a car with a 48 month warranty, etc.

Do a little research, Mr. Clause. This has been going on since 2014. It wasn’t sudden, and discussions have been had.

The truck is pretty damn awesome up until 3:10-3:13.

Anytime! I’d be happy to answer any more questions you have. If you can manage it, try to get a solo test drive and really put the GTI through it’s paces. It can handle it.

I recently bought a new GTI. Don’t put it out of your mind over getting the much more expensive R. The front diff is absolutely magical.

That Beetle may be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Those aren’t suspenders, they’re pleats.

Yeah I got the DSG because of the known weak clutch issues, because I do want to tune it eventually. The only thing stopping me is that it has less than 3k miles on it, and I like the idea of having a warranty. I may try a JB4 soon enough, and move on to an APR tune later on. Will be getting an OBDeleven soon to

My Silverado was the same way. It had a limiter of 98mph, and the reason stated was the tires that came on the truck were not rated for that speed. However, though not widespread, I saw a few forum posts from people who removed the limiter and blew driveshafts when going over 115.

What is it with IT and Subarus? I work in IT and I know of two coworkers that have WRXs, and my Uncle has 3 IT staff at his office that drive WRXs/STIs.

The DSG is sooooo good. I love mine so much. I resist the urge to mod it every single day.

Shitty dealers are shitty. I bought a GTI this year and test drove both it and an R with no hesitation at all; all I did was ask. I was even clear from the start that “Hey I’m here for a GTI. Is the R that much better? Can I test drive one?” So yeah, definitely not a real policy (I’m 26 if that matters).

Most modern shotguns are striker fired (no hammer, entire mechanism is internal, so the ‘pumping’ of a pump-action shotgun, for example, cocks the mechanism making it ready to fire).

Comcast just sucks. Take another large provider; Spectrum. Basic internet is $45, TV is $45, bundle is $90. So no savings there at all. I use Wow! at home, and pay $60/month for internet (500mbps), and adding TV adds another $60 or something, depending on the package (don’t remember the exact amount, I got a quote for

I rushed to cut the cord when I bought a new house. Cable is only better if you care about the thousands of weird channels. I pay $40/month for Hulu with Live TV, and it has the whole Hulu streaming library, plus live TV (with DVR) for 50+ popular channels. I have a smart TV, and the DVR is cloud-based, so I don’t

Sure, same form factor, but having fewer cells means that by definition it’s not the “same exact battery pack.”

You know.. that’s kind of the reason insurance exists; so you have some kind of backup in case an emergency happens. You chose to not have health insurance, which means you pay for everything.

I don’t understand the technology enough to be certain, but it sounds like the pixels above the camera need to be turned off in order for the camera to function, so it would probably be easy enough to notice if your camera was active if suddenly some pixels in the middle of your screen (or wherever the camera is
