I’ve never encountered anything too bad. For me, the worst was the timing belt/water pump on my MK4 Jetta 1.8t. You have to remove the engine mount to do it, but one half of the mount is too large to remove completely from the engine bay unless you remove the whole engine or remove everything on top of the engine, so…
