I think they're another iPhone. Still behind the times and still just an overpriced rehash 'S' model. iOS 7 is the real point here, but you can get that on other older phones, so why pay a premium to get a 5S with nothing really new? (Fingerprint capability doesn't impress me, and 64-bit has nothing to show yet.)

Still super non-impressed by Apple, once again. The only 'new' feature is a fingerprint scanner that a lot of people will probably use for a week and then just ditch it because they never password protected their phone anyway. And if they didn't before, now they'll have to since it's tied into their iTunes account.

No you're right. I commented on the original article, though, that the majority of people were suggesting Hangouts, even though it asked for a text messaging/SMS replacement. I guess the criteria changed over time.

I still don't think Hangouts should be on this list since I can't actually text them if they don't have a smartphone with Hangouts installed.

There's a bimmer around Polaris, Ohio that has the license plate JEWBACA.

Good. If and when I ever get one, I want people to pass it by. I don't want them crowding around it, trying to race it, chasing it with video cameras rolling, and just being stupid. I want them to ignore it as much as possible.

Unless I can drive 400 miles on a charge, and charge it back up in 2-3 minutes, count me out.

I don't care what it looks like. 63k miles for under $4,000? Sounds like a great deal (and practical joke) for your kid's first car. NP

..You people all realize that this article asks for the best alternative text messaging app, and half of you are recommending Hangouts, which doesn't support text messaging, right?

I'd rather the office taze someone, than have two (or more, only one side of the van is shown in this particular shot) draw their firearms. A tazer effects one person, while a bullet can ricochet or pass through a body and harm the things behind it, which in this particular video, could have been one of the men in the

Nothing too crazy. Typical VW stuff. Most recently I replaced a broken y-pipe in my coolant system with a brass T and hose clamps and some zip ties.

Way too conservative with language. It seems like they were trying to be family friendly-ish

I have a computer with a quad-core Haswell i7, 16GB RAM, and a 7200rpm hard drive (with a 32Gb SSD tacked on to it), and iTunes is still slow.

I'm torn. $9,000 for a 'new' Miata is an amazing deal, even if it is old, but 23 years? If the owner occasionally started it up and took it around the block, I'd be fine with it. But sitting still for over 20 years? I don't know if I could trust that.

Mmmmm. Dat ref-matching.

The only thing better for this question would be a Brabus Cygnet.

Those damn physical text books that they make me buy.
