I think anybody who watches the Brewers regularly can agree on two things: Broxton is a major league-caliber player, and he is correctly positioned on the Brewers depth chart. He should probably remain on the big league roster as a late inning defensive replacement for Braun or Thames, but as a total package, he’s not

Now playing

I’ve always liked this version of Cheap Reward he did with Elvis Costello.

“We’ll handle the jokes today!”

Damn. That’ll change the Caps/Pens rivalry for next season.

The one from Canada you met at Niagara Falls?

I look forward to the “Super Flag Extraveganza” that he throws instead where Kid Rock and Kanye West perform a mash-up questioning if white people are really responsible for slavery and they cap it off by firing Bowe Bergdahl out of a cannon (fired by Ted Nuggent) into a brick wall with Rosanne’s face on it.
The whole

I’m sure he will pardon Ali, just to say he did something nice for POC. He’s quite the humanitarian to people who won’t tell him to go suck a burrito fart. Being dead sure helps with that.

The Capitals however, are welcome to come. Ovechkin can even have some nuclear launch codes as a parting gift.

Not surprised this is a rule, yet also surprised this is a rule.

The ball becomes dead and runners advance one base, or return to their bases, without liability to be put out, when:

And enforcing the “unwritten rules” usually means a beaning a player, which can also be incredibly dangerous. Not sure how that will help.

Thank you, you are the first person to point this out.

Milwaukee is more segregated but I’ve never had any problems in just about any area of Milwaukee. Can’t say the same about Chicago. I’d rather walk through Milwaukee’s alleged worst areas any day.

Oh yeah, that’s the 3rd one. “Well, he shouldn’t have been rude” (even if he technically complied with the cop). Guess what: rudeness is not against the law.

Seriously. This is what people who get all, “B-b-but he should have complied!” seem to forget. Let’s take it a step further: if a cop pulls me over for a busted taillight and I actively give him attitude about it, maybe he decides not to let me off with a warning. Maybe he writes me up for every damn thing he can. But

‘Stallis, baby!

That was definitely the line when I was a kid in the 90s and early 2000s as well. But I had come up from Chicago so I didn’t really see the big deal. Still don’t. I like Milwaukee.

I live in Milwaukee and work in Waukesha. I have co-workers that think living in Milwaukee is like living in an active war zone.

I don’t want to grind this into dust, but you’re missing the point pretty much entirely. They’re past lying about it. They’re in damage control mode. But, rather than taking any positive steps, they are pleading for community support in spite of their failure to take any positive steps. It’s a “sorry, not sorry” move

You know what would probably help garner support, instead of just asking for it at a church? Announce that they’ve fired everyone involved with either tasing the guy or lying about what happened. You know, actually hold everyone accountable.
