This reads like someone going up their own asshole to tell the movie plebeians what real comedy is. Yeah, it’s cheeseball and corny and referential, but shit, man, sometimes cheeseball and corny and referential is fine. Let people enjoy a dumb, harmless movie if they like it.

“ but I can’t imagine anyone outside of that demographic enjoying it or thinking it was a good movie”

Think what you want about Deadpool, but did it have the courage, nay ... the artistry ... to show two teenagers fucking against a pile of trash cans in an alley, like Matthew Vaughn’s grimy, under-appreciated Kick Ass?

I’m old enough to be in a protected demographic (damn it), but I still enjoy a good dick & fart joke. I am the target demographic for the Deadpool movies.

I mean, people that don’t mind watching a funny action movie seem to have liked the first one. the second I guess we shall see if it has the same mass appeal.

Eh. Nah. I’ll probably enjoy it. And I’m not any sort of marvel fanboy. The first installment made me laugh. I want to say you enjoy it if you don’t overthink it, but that makes me feel like I’m saying it actually sucked, which I don’t think it did. I can’t really think of a good comparison?

So, wait, Deadpool’s first movie made a butt ton of money, and a good portion of that was from people who had, at best, a passing knowledge of what deadpool was. I include myself in that category.

So you’d just be like “No guys I get it, you’re just doing your jobs! Let’s totally talk about this thing where I was never proven of wrong doing from 2 decades ago at great length at a press conference”? Or would you maybe, possibly be a little defensive?

No and no. If he’s not guilty then this is about him and he’s being dragged through the mud. Diana doesn’t know if he’s guilty or not-and neither do we.

You can understand why he’d feel that way given the circumstances.

That statement goes against the basis of criminal law in the US and most of the world. An individual needs to be found guilty. We simply don’t know a thing here and to say otherwise is bullshit.

So why do so called “innocent” people spend their time in jail waiting for trial? The justice system likes to tout “innocent until proven guilty”, but rarely turns out that way in practice.

yeah, no. Innocent until PROVEN GUILTY. The proof lies with the accuser. Everyone is 100% innocent until the state proves beyond any reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty. Kind of a big deal. You know, what our entire legal system is built on.

That is a pretty frightening thought process.

If...focus on the IF here...it is not true-then it absolutely is about hurting him. If it IS true-then it’s a different story.

Crazy question. What if he’s the one telling the truth and her, “I dont want to deal with the stress’s of the trial” was just an excuse because she knew she was in the wrong?

This from Trump economic advisor Peter Navarro:

That’s a very realistic take and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s correct.

Lost in all this is that it’s pretty fucking clear Trump has no idea what a trade deficit is.

Trump doesn’t have the metal dexterity to imagine a toy monkey that claps cymbals AND flips.
