I’ve been fairly vocal about it, even as a Subaru Ambassador. Plus sedans are dying anyway. Maybe the next generation will be a hatch only. It’s not like people stopped buying the STI when it only came in a hatch.

Wow, I didn’t know it was that stock! Though the FWD aren’t as heavily populated as AWD, but still, he is an amazing driver. And I suppose a decent automatic means easy left foot braking.
Subaru says that by focusing on one body style instead of two, they were able to make the sedan better than if they divided their efforts between a sedan and wagon. But considering the success of the GTI/Golf R and the FoST/FoRS, I think they picked the wrong time to drop the hatchback, or at least dropped the wrong…
I got a WRX despite it being a sedan, not because of it. I would’ve preferred a wagon/hatch. And I’d definitely consider a Crosstrek WRX/STI. You’re right about the rally angle, too. I’ve seen a first gen Crosstrek run course opening at a rally, and it did well. Ryan Millen dominates in a Toyota RAV4 rally “car.”
I was there. Not in the Brian Williams way. In fact I was one of the closest people to his crash and ran across the road to help!
This pretty much says it all.
My 2015 WRX is similar - super long drivers wiper, super short passenger wiper.
Something to think about: why doesn’t every anyone drive a Geo Storm?
My wife introduced me to it when we stayed across the street at Ruby Foo last year. Mmm mmm good.
Starred for poutine. Because, poutine. No other reason is necessary.
I’ll have to travel around and try a bit, then. My wife is from Montreal, and she makes a really good poutine. I’ve had Gibeau Orange Julep’s in Montreal, and it wasn’t nearly as good as what she makes.
Yes, but here’s the important question: Did you have any poutine in Montreal?
This.
You could stick with VW and some Mk4 Jetta Wolfsburg Edition seats. They’re cloth, but have the right level of bolstering - not too much, not too little. Plus they’re heated, which would be a huge bonus to supplement the lacking heater output of the Beetle. (Full disclosure: my Jetta’s heat doesn’t work, either.)
So envious! Woohoo!!!
I have a shitty YouTube motovlog channel - does that count?
Or, spend $15,000 on a slightly used one that’s just as good as the new car. You can throw $5,000 of boost, suspension, brake, and chassis upgrades at it and still pay less than you would for a new base model.
Just think. If a certain BMW driver had used nitrogen in his tires, they wouldn’t have been 1.5 PSI off that fateful day.
Neutral: I own a 2015 WRX sedan despite it not being available as a hatch, not because of it. My other two potentials, the Focus ST and VW GTI, are hatch-only, and I love that. I ended up getting a better deal on the WRX, possibly because I already owned a Subaru BRZ. If the current WRX was available in a hatch (or a…
