I’m actually so in awe of Trudeau and the Liberals right now. He’s probably got the strongest minority government in modern history. His government’s response to the coronavirus is securing his re-election. His political opponents can’t say shit about it, and the decision to ban a while bunch of guns is not going to

Seriously?! Damn.

I've seen someone calling him Hitler. I'm so fucking disgusted.

Australia also has strict automatic weapon and gun licence control laws (as a result of our one mass shooting in 1986)... and it’s great!

As a parent that allowed their child to join the local “rod & gun” club in order to use the archery range, the amount of emails received from the club in regards to these very “serious threats to legal owners of these types of firearms” gets tiresome.

We have waaaay too many dumb motherfuckers who watch waaaay too much American TV.

Go, Canada.

Aw, they banned the 8‘ long Anzio Ironworks 20MM cannon rifle I use for home defense!

Thanks. We’re rooting for you too.

Note that these weapons were already heavily regulated. They required a special license and could only be transported between the owner’s home and gun ranges, where they could be fired legally.

I’m American and I’m fucking elated. Way to go, Canada.

I love that Trudeau did this. Unfortunately we have our own fair share of gun nuts up here. It’s amazing how many Canadians think the second amendment applies here.

It’s a very popular move by the Liberal Party government, approaching 80% support according to recent polling.

I just wish the Mayo Clinic would release a statement saying he willingly violated their policy. First they deleted their tweet, now they’re completely silent. It makes them look bad.

“Won’t somebody please think of the children!” is never about the children.

Does this requirement that “being pregnant and giving birth” equals motherhood require surrogates to be identified as “mothers” on birth certificates? If a woman who’s biological child in carried by another can be called “mother” can’t a father who carried the pregnancy be called “father”?

UK’s equalities minister Liz Truss suggested that an upcoming review of the country’s Gender Recognition Act might result in more restrictions, saying that the government must protect young people from “making those irreversible decisions.”
