This is different. Your co-worker has his head up his butt.
Meanwhile here in the good ol’ USA, Sofia Vergara is alive and well to say how she wants her eggs used and it’s still going to court . . . (right? I haven’t missed an update on that story?)
I’m really, really, really hoping that Netflix goes all in on a “Time Humper Chronicles: The Erotic Adventures of Space Admiral Rod Cocker” series. Please, Netflix, I need this. So bad.
I really liked the season overall, but was disappointed that the final episode didn’t acknowledge what the hell happened to Bennett. From others’ posts here, though, I’m getting hope that they’ll do some interesting stuff with him and Daya and the baby next year; Cesar’s household is horrifying and that drug bust…
Lori Petty has the ability to convey so much with so little movement. Her unnerving stare is well, really unnerving and the lift of her brows is terror inducing.
Another reason to get rid of the crib.
Anybody not recognize pornstache without his pornstache?!
Also, didn’t the bedbugs come from that apartment?
Back when we were struggling to conceive, I schooled an anti-choice acquaintance on why we couldn’t “just adopt” a baby (~$60K in fees, Guatemala closed its program, rejection from other international programs for my hearing loss and his Crohn’s, heartbreak over a state-side mom who changed her mind). She nodded her…
Totally. I have a friend who desperately wanted to adopt, but ended up getting pregnant instead because the adoption process was so expensive and grueling. Not only is adoption difficult, but it’s also flawed in many cases.
I’m guessing most people don’t realize how difficult (emotional, financially, etc.) the adoption process can be. A couple I’m friends with adopted three siblings from foster care about two years ago, and have worked hard to make sure the kids, who came from a tough background, have the emotional and educational…
The venn diagram between people who say, “Just adopt” and people who don’t know the first fucking thing about adoption is pretty much a circle. I’d love to see them try it, except they probably shouldn’t be exposed to children.
It was great seeing the storyline go from getting better food to Cindy finding a place she belonged. Her smile at the end was just killer.
That scene with the alarm in the first episode crushed me. They really nailed the fright and confusion that those kids would be feeling.
I really enjoyed this season, but Piper’s “panty speech” in the eighth episode was so tacky and ridiculous. I cringed. Not out of embarrassment for dirty underwear, but because it was so cheap and obnoxious
the “ask me three times” scene is by far the best acting of the season.
and it was a great season - entertaining and full of backstory - but I am wanting more.
I didn’t realize that asking someone to rethink a really derogatory word was a “dick” move, especially on a site like Jezebel. Thanks for amending.
As someone who converted to Judaism about 6 years ago, the way they ended Cindy’s storyline in the last ep meant a lot to me. Really, I was crying with her. The rabbis at my beit din asked me the same question, and my answer was pretty close to the one the character gave. Here’s hoping Tova Cindy will fine new ways to…
I lost it in the first episode when the kids were all in the yard and all the prisoners had to get down on the ground for count. They were so confused!! It was so sad to me. Then when Maria’s boyfriend told her he wasn’t bringing the baby to visit her anymore - ugh, the tears. (Note: I’m also pregnant at the moment so…
