I started reading this, but man, attention span... can someone tell me in three sentences the gist of the issue here? Why are they newly dangerous?

Simply the ideas. I guess he could have come up with them independently, I feel like the other articles were out much earlier than his, so I find it all suspect.

Buying a house is so, so hard. And so often well meaning people simply cannot understand anything personal you’re going through. At any rate, I hope you find a house before September, I hope it’s a house you like and in your budget. If you do not, I really hope everything works out in a good way.

I’m almost always in the grays. This week I posted a comment on io9 and no one replied, and I really would have liked someone to do so. I’m reposting it here because I hope to ... I don’t know. Be heard, or have answers, or something.

My god, how unfair for her. Cruel, so cruel. I hope the masterminds get in huge trouble for this.

I just made a comment below about how I feel the carton in the picture for the article is sexist as two cows, presumably dairy because they produce milk and thus should be female cows, are wearing top hats, something typically considered groom attire. They should be wearing wedding dresses. But now, right, hubby

No. No no no no no no no. Why are the two cows wearing top hats, something a groom would typically wear? Since cows that produce milk are female cows they should be wearing bridal gowns. SEXISM SEXISM SEXISM. God it is everywhere and I hate it and I’m tired of it and even when it’s something good like celebrating

Rose McGowan, if you read Jezebel, I love you. You are the best and do the best things.

I feel for you. I cried all last evening. Why do these dumb sexist bosses get to exist and ruin our lives? I hope you find a really great job and walk out, it would be so good to leave him with the mess! And yes, college classes should be offered on how we can deal with these guys, and also on how bosses could *not*

Uff. I really don’t like speculating on Kim Kardashian’s reproduction methods. It’s really nobody’s business. US Weekly should be shamed, not her.

This is timely for me. I only got three and a half hours of sleep last night because I was up going over and over a phone convo with my superior, thinking how I could have stood up for myself better when discussing my future position, and he said something really sexist that I realized affected why my future position

Yes, exactly, every so often there is some great article, though mostly the comments, that make me remember why I did like it.

To me, lady is old fashioned and has a bad connotation, acting ladylike and such. I dunno, there’s some interesting stuff here, different people have different opinions. http://www.academia.edu/9400071/Lady_S… If it was just lady she used, fine, but lady and bitch? That’s ugh... :

Why what? I always expect Jezebel to be more feminist and I’m always disappointed when it’s not. Using “bitch” and “lady”... not my thing but I guess others are ok with it, so fine. I guess.

I guess. I have tried to quit so many times but keep coming back.

I’m not sure what that means. I want feminist stuff but the stuff that is supposedly feminist isn’t.

Wow, Natasha Vargas-Cooper called this “lady” (I hate the word lady) a “bitch” on Twitter. She meant it as a “term of affection,” but ugh. I mean... ugh. Why do I read Jezebel.

Thanks! I googled pinkwashing but then got too lazy to read anything. Your comment has made me smater. I mean smarter.

Ohhhh that sucks. And near the eye, so dangerous if herpes spreads to the eye, which it can with anyone who has the virus, but yeesh. Yeah I would’ve been pissed.

Whenever I see an actress or actor kiss a child (in a parental sort of way) on TV or in film, my thought is always as to whether that actress or actor has a cold sore, or is getting a cold sore. And I always think, if I was the mom to that child I’d want to inspect that actress/or’s lips and interrogate the hell out
