For me, all in all, the re-enactments are the stars of these episodes. The slurring and the tangents and the drunky goofiness is fun and all, but the actors in cheap costumes trying to adapt to the audio track are where the laughs reliably lie.

Jake's Spassky was the first time in a long time I laughed simply at the reveal of who was playing the part in a DH pantomime. That arched eyebrow, those daggers for eyes, . . . it's been too long since a new New Girl episode.

I thought this episode did a good job of contrasting the whiplash between representing a detail intense, high dollar, civil matter, and a string of low grade pro forma criminal matters.

1. I said the fans' mancrush was bro-ish, not 'the Boss' himself.
2. The question was who 'I' wasn't into, while recognizing their talent.
3. I don't need a conversion to the church of Bruce, thanks.

Though I never DISliked him, I have never for a moment empathized with the apparent near-universal bro-crush all of Jersey has on Springstein. Born to Run is probably my favorite of his songs, and I feel it would be a decent B-side for Meatloaf.

It is amazing to me that Joey putting Chandler in a box is so enduringly funny to me. On paper, it should go over like bazinga, but that episode has cracked me up for years.
