Right?! It seems really weird. I'm planning to call the car dealership finance lady and see what she recommends that I do. My credit score is in the 800s ... it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Not totally sure, but I've only ever had 2 credit cards. When I looked into getting preapproved for a mortgage a few years ago, they said that might be an issue. But when I applied for a mortgage again recently it wasn't a problem.

Yeah, I visited the Experian website & tried requesting my credit report, but they wouldn't let me do it online. :P I'm going to try calling them b/c I really don't want to have to send stuff through the mail. Maybe there's something going on I don't know about.

Got a bit of a shock this afternoon. I bought a new car two weeks ago and applied for financing for half of it. Today I opened a letter from the auto finance company saying I was denied financing because I have insufficient credit history. I'm 43 and have never taken out a car loan before, but I have 20 years of

I have worn nothing but Jockey Elance bikinis for many, many years. I don't know if they'll be cute enough for you, but I find them incredibly comfortable (the elastic is covered with fabric), and they hold up really well.

I have a tendency to be wordy in emails, so sometimes I will start my email off with a quick summary of what I want the recipients to know/do, and then add any background info./explanation (or the tl;dr part, as some would say) below that. I add bold headers for the summary and background so people know right off the

No, I prefer to be blissfully unaware of any spider consumption. ;)

It would not be possible for me to love this post any more than I do.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

I'm so sorry for your loss. 56 is way too young.

Thank you!

My friend "Jane" lives in another city and has two small kids. I am also friends with Jane's sister "Hazel" who lives here. Jane will be bringing her kids to town to visit for a couple of weeks starting next weekend, and I was happy she was coming ... until Hazel told me she is going to Jane's house for a couple of

Ick.

I'm with you. For some reason the story never resonated with me, but so many people hold it in such high regard that I try to keep my feelings about it to myself. Reminds me of the "Seinfeld" episode in which one of the characters didn't worship "The English Patient" like everyone else on earth. :D

Interesting ... never knew making them was that involved!

I just wish the rest of Taco Cabana's food was as good as their tortillas.

Such a shame about their fries. How is it they can make such delicious burgers, and their fries taste like a cross between cardboard and styrofoam?

For some reason the idea of leaving some ashes on the grounds sounds OK, but inside a ride sounds strange. But having been through the death of my dad a few years ago, I know it's a very personal thing.

I don't drink much and also can't stand beer at all and don't like most wines. But I have figured out I do like rum if it's mixed in something. Something you might try is buying a little mini bottle of rum (they have flavored ones too) so you're not spending much if you end up not liking it. Then you can put a little

How totally lame. :( I don't have any wise words of advice, unfortunately — just wanted to say it sucks when you get jacked around at work like that.
