+1 for Eucerin. Give it a try.

Amen. 43 here and still trying to figure it all out. :)

Continuing the hug chain. Appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Well, hopefully both of our fears will be unfounded.

Totally - story of my life. I'm 43 and single and have free time and money to spend, but all my friends are busy with their kids. It sucks.

I'm so sorry for your friend. How terrible. :(

Picking out a card is hard for me too. My mom's been hot and cold — I can remember some times she's been there for me when I needed her and some really wonderful things she's done for me, but also a lot of lousy, lousy parenting. The cards that really get me riled up are "My Mother, My Best Friend." I shudder.

I'd like to think that, but what happens when all your friends are old and feeble and can't even take care of themselves? I'm single, 43, childless, no nieces or nephews. It terrifies me to imagine what will happen someday when I can't take care of myself anymore.

I was told as a *teenager* that I needed to wear a better-quality bra because I had premature sagging. Like I needed that hit to my already fragile self-esteem?? They were never even all that big — I'm a 36D. You can imagine where they're at now that I'm 43. I can't stomach major surgery for it, but I fantasize about

Scary. As a woman in her early 40s who has always worn just the barest amount of makeup, I am so thankful no one's ever done that to me.

Oh my goodness. Bless you for dealing with all that and for fostering in general. I hope the little one improves quickly.

Another vote for Eucerin daily moisturizer with SPF 30. I have rosacea and super sensitive skin, and my dermatologist recommended it. I have used it for many years. I occasionally experiment with something else but keeping coming back to it because it works so well for me.

Wow - she sounds incredible!

The lag is making me nuts. :(

I highly recommend that you look for a fee-only financial planner. They're a little harder to find, especially if you're like me and not rich, but worth it because they have no financial incentive to push you toward this investment or that investment that may or may not be the best deal for you. Here's a website where

Nope, apparently too late. I am in my early 40s, and while some of their stuff definitely qualifies as grandma-tastic, other things I thought were pretty nice.

Welp, guess I better use that Groupon fast. :/

My feelings do not in any way resemble carrots. I wish they did. Chocolate, yes. Any carb with debatable nutritional benefits, yes. Carrots, no.

Yes. I usually despise all gifs, but this one is too appropriate. :D

I just wish he had actually answered the question! :)
