Half the cost of a model 3 is not $25k. The model 3 is under $30k itself, just like we all remember was promised several years ago. So now we're taking about a $15k electric autonomous car, and one that will evolve. I, personally, can't wait. 

I’d be interested to see how the initial cost was set, and EXACTLY what has caused it over budget. Not interested enough to do any research, but you know, Internet level interested.
