It worries me how many people genuinely believe they have great chances to win the lottery. Math is a foreign mumbo jumbo concept.

It’s the Welfare Queen thing all over again, really. If a system is not 100% perfect in using taxpayer money and there are non-virtuous individuals using government programs, the programs themselves are clearly not worth it and should be scrapped. I mean, who cares if a program is 99% successful; if that 1% is wasting

Parkinson’s law of triviality is C. Northcote Parkinson’s 1957 argument that members of an organisation give disproportionate weight to trivial issues.[1] He provides the example of a fictional committee whose job was to approve the plans for a nuclear power plant spending the majority of its time on discussions about

ahem, i think it was six pages of the bill, but your point stands ;)

“Let them eat cake”

Exactly. As if the cost of a phone plan would cover premiums—let alone prescriptions and co-pays.

ALSO THE 12 POOR PEOPLE WHO WIN THE LOTTERY EACH YEAR NEED TO GET THE FUCK OFF MEDICAID ASAP AND ALSO PAY BACK MONEY

I am about to start a very costly medical process. I am so glad that I will have no bill if I “invest the cost of my iPhone”

My wife got a single procedure that resulted in $524 bill from one hospital and a $468 bill from another part of the hospital (because that makes sense). I’m going to assume he meant the 256gb model. Otherwise I’m already in trouble.

Or to put it another way,

The last medical statement I got was for $500 for one procedure. As long as I don’t need any other medical care for the next two years, his analogy totally works.

You can’t unplug my ventilator I never bought an iPhone!

rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and they want to go spend hundreds of dollars on, maybe they should invest it in their own healthcare.

Except that even John McCain said it was useless, and since he’s privy to that shit, we DO know.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but numerous sources have let out that the raid got absolutely squat in the way of usable intelligence

Hillary would have been in the situation room. Trump was asleep, after a big dinner with friends.

It’s well known that Obama didn’t authorize the raid because it was too risky. That is an irrefutable fact.

Perhaps if Trump had the balls to accept responsibility for the raid instead of blaming it on Obama people might think differently.

Well for one, this wasn’t a technically a State of the Union. It was just an address to congress. And 2, call it what it is: he used the family of the fallen solider to conjure up support and to direct attention away from the shit show raid. It may have been done by other presidents yes, but not like this.
