This is actually the episode I came in on; I didn't catch up to Season 1 for a few years after that. This episode got me, hook, line & sinker. Great tension, captured the feel of something of that level happening in real life. Great series, great choice :)

1. It's the Empire. They don't NEED no STEEEENKIN' secondary control centers!

Yeah, I didn't really enjoy the ones after "Hell's Faire" as much as the first four titles. "Eye of the Storm" appears to be more in line with the first, though.

I love Ringo's "A Hymn Before Battle" series; I think my favorite of the pack is "Storm Front" - I've re-read that several times.

"The Misfits of Science."

I love the twisted sense of humor that runs throughout. Even with that taken into consideration, it's still a "serious" storyline. I'm going to have to re-read it for the 4th time, now.

Detroit could be whatever they Mecca it.

Yeah, that was a nice touch. Really looking forward to seeing what they do with him next!

I had that issue when it came out - I think it was a Giant-Sized Avengers or Avengers Annual - something like that. I remember when Graviton lost control and grew to ginormous size, complete with "space-time" lines across his body.

I have to chuckle a little at the line "... don't believe Einstein should have worked on it, given the data he had at the time." Seriously? Einstein? Even if he was "wrong," even if he was "wasting his time," he was still Albert. Frickin'. Einstein. He could damned well work on whatever the hell he felt like! :)

Interesting. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this ends up on the big screen. So long as it doesn't take TOO many liberties with the central characters and premises, I'll be happy.

According to couple of postings that he's made on the Amazon message boards, Mr. Bernheimer is definitely planning on doing a sequel; he has some other projects ahead of it that he's committed to.

If you haven't read "Confessions of a D-List Supervillain," by Jim Bernheimer, you're doing yourself a grave disservice. Same for the "Ex-" trilogy, by Peter Clines: A brilliant mashup between superheroes and zombie apocalypse. "Ex-Heroes," "Ex-Patriots" & "Ex-Communication." Wonderful stuff! There's a 4th in the

Depending on how they played it, this could be hysterical.

It's the material that's used to make the dishes to serve it in.

Never saw that one, so I'll have to take your word for it :)

One can hope, though. I thoroughly enjoyed what they did with the BSG reboot; I think that given the right mix of writers, directors & producers, a good cast could do wonders for the concept.

Aha! Thanks - I couldn't remember the name.

Another fun show was "My Partner The Ghost," which I think had a different name in the UK than in the US. Private detective & his dead partner, quirky stories, good humor.
