I never imagined I would hear a parody of Jolene quite like that, but I'm so glad I did. That was a great performance, especially how it struck two very different emotional chords. I only wish they had credited the singer so I could see if she had done anything else.

I spent far too long concocting my own Jurassic World and Parks & Rec mashup starring Burt Macklin and Janet Snakehole. I don't possess magic CGI technology to make it actually happen so I had to settle for crappy Photoshop skills.

Deciding to make 'unglamouring' a thing would be one of the least ridiculous things the writers have done over the years (remember when they decided that old vampires could fly a few seasons ago?). I can't imagine anyone would bat an eye at it, which makes the omission so infuriating.

Right? Shit, when she (inexplicably) started being able to read his mind I was terrified that there was going to be some stupid plot twist where her ridiculous fairy power would burn away his vampire-ness and leave him human or some shit. Then they'd both be human and could live happily fuckin ever after. Uuugh.

Well that's all she wrote, and thank fuckin God for that, because this shit was intolerable for far too long. They did finally kill Bill though, so that was a plus.

This season is such a goddamn mess. It feels like the writers had a checklist of what they wanted to happen in the last season but someone lost it in the writer's room couch cushions, finding it 3 episodes before the end.

I can't say much that the review didn't but here are a few stray thoughts about the episode:

Alright, that was a perfectly adequate episode of trash television. A few random thoughts, in no particular order:

True Blood is bad in that trash tv so bad it's usually pretty good or at least we might see some nudity kind of way I think. It's an escapist fantasy where you get to feel a whole lot more intelligent than most of the main characters. While there are highs and lows in every show's run, I think True Blood has been

I think they're painting HepV to be the Big Bad this season, which is fine by me. They have enough loose ends to tie up without manufacturing a whole new fuckin main character storyline…

Yakonoma Corp could have just make a spinoff subsidiary to sell a clean alternative, but I'm guessing it would probably be more of a consumer trust issue. The Tru Blood product line was basically a staple food for vampires so it was probably pretty shattering to have it intentionally infected with a deadly virus. The

Kenya kind of got an on-screen death in S07E04 at around the 48 minute mark, but the show definitely didn't dwell on it. Kenya was amongst the group of vigilante Bon Temps residents who came after the HepV vamps. She died in the Fangtasia raid.

That could be, but at the same time, Sookie's party didn't start until after dark. These mostly-young, beautiful people decided to head over to a relative stranger's house (it didn't seem like Sookie knew any of them in the slightest) at night just to attend a house party. That doesn't strike me as the most prudent

"James opened the box of Bran Flakes™, pouring himself a generous serving. A glass of Metamucil™ sat beside the bowl. James needed all the help he could get in preparation for the night's festivities."

Only if she and Pam can be Odd Couple room mates for some reason

But her pantsuit would've been amaaazing!

"You guys, I know it doesn't make any sense but people really want to know more about Bill's life in the Confederate days of Louisiana! We have such little time left, let's get some flashbacks in here! My contract commands you!!"

Just finished watching… whatever that was (I'd like to call it an "episode" but like Carrie pointed out the complete lack of structure makes that term a bit too generous). Here are a few random thoughts, in no particular order:

I understood this choice though. As we've seen throughout the seasons, werewolves and vampires are sworn enemies because of reasons. Sookie knew how Alcide felt about vampires; you can extrapolate that he would rather be dead than be turned. If Sookie turned him it would only be for her own needs regardless of what he

I'm pretty sure that the "pink slime" was actually the ammonia-treated beef additive product, not the chicken product used in McNuggets [http://www.reuters.com/arti…].
Honestly it does seem like the reaction to the "pink slime" story by laypeople is one based more on looks rather than legitimately backed-up safety
