So when they take them away, where are they going?

2051: “I know what I have

Talk to a greeniac about natural gas and natural gas pipelines.  Just be sure to stand back out of spittle range, or put a spit hood on them first.

As a resident of Texas who just went through the bullshit of last week, I feel that you need other sources of energy (I know, you can get a generator to charge your EV)I personally think that natural gas would be an excellent choice for an alternative to electricity.

I too think the whole business model is bullshit. But it can work for people - I have a good friend who lost his director level position with IBM. He has been looking for a new job for a year now - which at that level means LOTS of interviews, and all over the country. So he can’t work a job with a shift schedule to

Yes - I agree fully. these were never meant to be full time jobs. Everyone saw something easy and figured it would be a way to make a living. I know people who work for like 4-5 of these different gigs trying to make rent. It was never meant to make rent - these jobs are for beer money.

This seems a bit high:

So what’s the alternative?

Why would anyone care about total deaths as a measure of comparison? The rate of deaths is what’s important.

2. Why is the notion that the government needs to force it. EVs are a great choice for a good swath of the American public. People will continue to buy them. Automakers will make them. That’s all you need.

Your use of facts and actual history will be deemed offensive by apologists.  It sucks, but sadly politics has become a religion for A LOT of people.

Those shovel ready jobs.   lol.

I worked for a highway sign company during the Obama years. It was great for us; we made and sold a lot of those Recovery.gov signs...

5th: Can someone explain to me why the American public should be on the hook for the debt taken on by taxi drivers in one city? How is this different than any other failed business loan?

Raphael wants everyone to stop flying, ban cars and let the roads return to nature.

I can’t think of a President who DIDN’T run on infrastructure.

Its not greed its capitalism. If people want to drop 100k on an absurd dessert stomping truck, then by golly let them have it.

Could it have something to do with the cost of doing business in California? Of course Illinois is the proverbial frying pan into the fire.
