Don’t forget all the “high-speed rail” boondoggles that will be involved. Most of which won’t be wanted or used, and will be WAY over-budget, assuming they’re even completed.

The correct take is that the federal government shouldn’t be subsidizing big oil nor should it be subsidizing big EV.

I sat in one that was built in around 2004. It wouldn’t have been comfortable as a daily (unless you’re short enough.) The wheel was in my chest and the pedal box was too close to the seat. I guess race cars aren’t known for their spacious interiors. Hehe

MSRs show promise for making it easier and more secure that the more traditional reactors like the Navy uses.
Small molten salt reactors could be a great idea for powering large vessels.
Certainly, there would be some hurdles to overcome, but it could certainly be worth the effort.
As a kid, I drove ATVs with a clutch and I don’t think it gave me any advantage when learning to drive stick.
