You kinda need a large vehicle to carry 2 kids in wheel chairs plus all the related gear on a daily basis.

I live on the fringe of a metro area in the upper Midwest. I don't feel sorry for them, because every time gas prices drop for more than a few months, they celebrate by going out and buying a bigger truck and/or more gas powered toys, then get mad and complain that they can't afford gas when the prices go back up.…

Considering that most SUVs have better gas mileage than sedans from the last gas crunch and average miles per year driven will still be down in 2021 compared to pre-pandemic...I would imagine it won’t matter.

Sorry I’m just not buying it. It’s probably a fine car, but there’s nothing special about a 2.0 turbo 4 banger. If you want a #28i BMW go for a 128 or an older 328 (especially in E91 wagon form if you can find one). Now there’s a real future classic - last of the N/A inline 6s that BMW has a reputation for.

Or, you can buy a used Miata, and end up with an even cheaper car that will be far more reliable than an out-of-warranty BMW!

but the Trail 125 and Cub are both CVT and they’re still super fun
