Donna was a red-haired and far from ditzy. Ditzy means scatterbrained or stupid in a silly way. Donna was neither. She was strong and opinionated. Obnoxiously so in her first story, but increasingly mixed with compassion and a sense of right. She was, far and away, my favorite New Who companion.

Actually…..if you slow the scene down and do a frame-by-frame you can see that the Doctor is trying to close his hand over the boy's wrist, not the sonic, but the boy's hand slips down just as the Doctor is closing his own hand, leaving him holding the screwdriver.

There's a new BBC/ITV service called BritBox that has the whole classic Who run from Hartnell through McCoy. (along with a ton of other British shows). There are a handful of missing stories but they have about 95% of the available episodes. I think it's only about 6 bucks a month.

Mack will return before the season end. The preview showed Mack's body in peril. If we were really done with him then he would just have been shunted off to a life support system to await some future awakening.

Hmmmm…….seems like just saying "my Earth" would be easy and not confusing to anyone.

Anytime someone meets their future self they either have to have a different haircut or plus/minus facial hair. Since a beard or muttonchops might not be too convincing they had to go with longer hair. At least he doesn't have a ponytail or a man-bun.

So Abra says that Iris's death leaves Barry broken but also that he and Barry fight many times in the future. Evidently Barry wasn't broken enough to stop being The Flash or as down-and-out as he appears to be in the next episode preview.
Also, a small thing, why would Gypsy call her home "Earth 19" ? To her, her

Traveling back to the Crucifixion would not only have disastrous effects upon the timeline but also upon the heads of CW execs. What would they do? Stab Jesus a second time or just wait under the cross for enough blood to drip off? That would be the real firestorm.

Ummm….how did Stargirl "create" Camelot? Since Arthur and company were fictional did she travel around the countryside and say "Ok, now I'm going to call you "Arthur" and you'll be "Guinevere" and we're going to build a fabulous kingdom" ? She must have done it quickly too since she doesn't look any older than she

I see it as the gradual dumbing-down of Ray. On Arrow he was idealistic but not naive. He was a brilliant scientist who ran a billion dollar company. On Legends he is, more and more, like an adolescent. He seems to lose IQ points every week. I call it the "Sam Malone Effect" after another character whose intelligence

This was fun mostly because the three villains are much more entertaining than the regular characters. Arthur Darvill finally gets to have a little fun himself both as "Phil" and evil pawn Rip. It beats his original function of giving the Legends an angry lecture every week. Plus they finally (sort of) gave an

Fun episode but we still have the issue with The Flash's variable speed. How would a carload full of criminals even be able to see the speedsters coming much less avoid them? We know that Barry can run hundreds of miles in the wink of an eye. Barry and Wally have to strategize just to catch a car that's going 100

Yeah, Eobard Thawne continues to be very lively for a guy who never existed. Still the lamest backtrack on an idea that they knew they could never follow through on. Eddie died for absolutely no reason other than to clear the way for Barry and Iris. Reverse Flash is now not just threatening Barry but the whole fabric

That proves that the Arrowverse is definitely in an alternate dimension. If they can have giant psychic gorillas I guess they can still have newspapers.

The "leap tall buildings…." thing is a holdover from the early years of Superman before he could actually fly. The concept of sustained flight was introduced in the Superman radio show then, later, incorporated into the comics. He could make huge repeated leaps, like the Hulk does now, but he couldn't hover or stay

This was pretty good except for the inevitable lazy glosses. How was Plunder, a guy with no superpowers, able to both escape from jail AND recover his costume and all of his equipment? Almost everyone at the CCPD really needs to be fired.
As far as the museum financing STAR Labs……are we really supposed to believe that

Sorry, but as Laurel/Black Canary, Katie Cassidy was totally boring and forgettable. I guess that was the fault of the writers because as Black Siren she is a lot more fun. The producers do seem committed to keeping Cassidy around between her Black Siren appearances and the dreamworld sequence so I'm sure we'll see

I think there may still be problems for Wally down the line. His powers were triggered by Savitar so there might be a price to pay. Plus, saying he is faster than Barry was at that point raises a red flag. Barry is the star of the show and "The fastest man alive" so Wally cannot be consistently faster. The identity

A lot of fun but, while they were gathering up superheroes they couldn't zip over to Earth 3 and pick up Jay Garrick Flash? Now THAT would have been cool. And since when do you need 2 valuable team members, Vixen and Steel, to babysit the Timeship? I'm guessing it was contractual since, technically, Mick is the least

Yeah, you're right I forgot that. Still annoying that they cut the credits.
