It’s the perfect embodiment of going on an adventure. The struggles, the victories, the defeats. Spending time with your friends and going to new and interesting places all the time. Xenoblade 1 is a legit journey to me with such an amazing cast of characters, well voiced and acted, with a good story.

That’s playing through the Vita, not on it.

This week is where I play a little game called, “Find the best Black Friday deal online for video games”. Although, this game seems to be less and less fun nowadays.

Xenoblade 2, I can taste it.

The Switch never not gets games.

*sees the next 2 weeks dominated by Switch releases*

Dude. I play on lots of platforms.

That’s a pretty weird thing to say.

I love HZD, but claim it does “everything Zelda does” is ridiculous. I’m just going to assume you haven’t played Zelda at all because the statement is just plain ignorant.

Sure, but the list isn’t “Nondescriptmalething’s top 5 games”. I despise open world games, but I still think Horizon and Zelda deserve to be on there for what they’ve accomplished.

So is that why Zelda is better reviewed than Horizon?

Sorry your year in gaming was so dull.

Damn, you must have had a shitty year if that’s all you think deserves being on a nomination list.

Both Odyssey and BotW are in the top 5 highest reviewed games of all time, but they don’t deserve a nod?

I was most offended by the part where you said you thought you could trust Danny because he had a gay friend. That makes no sense. Lots of people

Hell, I remember game mags were flooded with letters from gamers worried about single-player games back in 2002-03 when online play became reality on PS2/XB. Needless to say, single player games are still here and fine; BOTW, Mario Odyssey, Persona 5, Horizon, Wolfenstein...

The day single player games die, is the day I have to find a new hobby. Either that or I do nothing but play older games. Good thing I have a backlog fifty miles deep.

Single-player games won’t die. Both Japanese and indie developers still make an overwhelming majority of single-player games.

Long live the Switch and long live Nintendo. Honestly, as a guy who plays a LOT of persistent online games, I would DETEST a world where no single player games exist or it became a niche concept.

“As a company we love single-player more than anything, and believe in it absolutely - for storytelling and a sense of immersion in a world, multiplayer games don’t rival single-player games.” - Rockstar Games director of design Imran Sarwar insists the success of Grand Theft Auto Online and lack of narrative-driven G
