That Kazuo Ishiguro book sounds like it’s covering some extremely well-trodden ground.

It blows my mind how young they were and how much they accomplished as a band in such a short time.  I always wonder about the alternate universe where John didn’t die and they followed the Stones’ path of endless touring.

I dunno, They Shall Not Grow Old was pretty extraordinary. That was a documentary passion project and presumably this one is too, so it might well be good.

I was never a regular viewer of Jeopardy, but I’m middle-aged and Alex Trebek has been (a benevolent, positive) part of popular culture for as long as I can remember. I will watch his final episode and probably cry.

I’m watching the beginning of Outlander right now (late to the party) and there’s a definite Gilligan quality to Jamie, stud-muffin though he be.

She was killed.

Next reboot should be from the perspective of a bonsai tree overlooking The Valley.

Would watch.

!!!!!  I love it.

No need to see him ever again, then?  (Sarcasm directed at the show, not you.)

The best one emphasizes character over plot: Missy does not reveal a long-dormant superpower of her own, and is selected to lead the group anyway”

I’m kind of in the middle on this one. I got annoyed when the AVC had a white guy (if I’m remembering correctly) review a recent Tyler Perry movie and call out as hacky or bad qualities that are fundamental to that series/genre. There’s something to be said for reviewers respecting genre conventions. At the same time,
