I’ve been telling friends exactly this - almost with exactly these ideas - for a couple years. Honestly, I probably got the initial idea from an old Torch post, but I don’t recall. Standard sizes, outputs, connects, and the pallet jack concept are all part of what I’ve been preaching. I was thinking there might need…
But he’s right! Even with their imperfect software, Teslas have been involved in 75% fewer crashes when autopilot is engaged. That number will only get better. The media have been far to eager to cry foul because they are skeptical of the technology and the headlines and coverage have been far too critical of Tesla.
This article is only partially correct. New research covered in Science News within the last 6 months (I don’t have the issue any more) reviewed a study where they first had participants take pictures of everything they ate. The data from this smashed the concept of “3 meals a day” and they found that people ate…
When I sold my Honda Prelude I knew there were kids in my future. My solution was a 3-year-old BMW 335i sedan with RWD and stick shift. If they’d made it in a wagon, I would have had that.
At least he wasn’t in a Mustang - he probably would have crashed when he tried to pull over.
I have my dream car right now - a BMW 3-series with stick shift, RWD, and the big engine. HOWEVER....as I have one child now and another on the way, I’m thinking about how I will transport bicycles when I get my daughters into mountain biking. I have underground parking in Chicago and therefore cannot conveniently use…
This is fantastic. Your commentary is always spot-on, Torch. Why aren’t you running for President?
I can’t wait for F1 to adopt a modern 18" wheel. I love F1 and I still think the 13" wheels and fat rubber looks silly. If they were mandated to run on 18" wheels and run-flats, I’m sure that within 5 years, I’d have more comfortable run-flats on my BMW because brilliant F1 engineers would find a way to make that…
Yeah, just wow. I saw that picture and actually had to google official photos of the back of the Continental just to make sure that was a photoshop...
I’m not sure you’ve gone far enough. If we had tails, we probably wouldn’t have developed chairs and seats as we know them today. Maybe something more akin to squatting, laying forward, or a full recline? If you think about it, chairs are really bad for you for just about any reason (sendentary lifestyle, muscle…
Of course they're good enough to get on a plane. Have you seen how tired and jaded the TSA agents are who check your license at the airport?
With the very specific requirements I had for my CPO BMW, I flew to Cleveland from Chicago to buy the car and drive it back - about 350 miles. It wasn't the best deal from pricing perspective, but with my specs, I didn't expect it to be.
This is EPIC. Thanks, Jason!!
Way of the future, or assholes who undermine a system that's been in place for years and play dirty with competitors?
Damn right this problem should be corrected with alacrity. My two cents: I think the problem is the burner accounts. If you don't want your comment to be tracked, it probably shouldn't be posted at all.
What's wrong with vanity plates?!
Blind spot monitoring systems make you a safer, more aware driver on the highway and in the city. Some have a light that illuminates on the mirror to let you know if a car is in your blind spot, and some have an additional, angled mirror to augment your view behind. Both are equally useful.
Electronic brake bias.
I would buy a mint e39 M5. That's it. Then I would spend the rest of the money road-tripping it around the world.
