Every single time I’ve played any flavor of DnD that’s heavily reliant on a grid for combat, combat at any appreciably complex level (so, like. starting at 5 for most classes) just becomes an unfun slog of rules lawyering centered around combat moves, figuring out placement, and what can/can’t be done within 6 seconds.
