I am super vocally pro-choice, so I share when it feels relevant occasionally in social situations, but I also have some bizarre, deep-rooted shame about it, and I’ve never told either of my parents (not even my mom, who I am really close with, and is not anti-choice or anything).
Me too. I was in a committed relationship with the man who I later married and am still with many years later, and I had supportive family members, I’d used protection, and I still felt like a dumb slut pregnant teenager with every loaded, shaming word I could imagine.

It’s not just access to abortion that these groups are targeting, but access to family planning of all types and women’s healthcare in general. The conversation should really be focus on allowing women to take care of the their health as they see fit, not some random men they don’t know.
