Juul doesn’t make clouds, you can barely see it.
I know that was disastrously uncouth of Rep. Hunter, but the biggest shock of that scenario is how strong the breeze is in the house conference room.
When I cut cable about 5 years ago and no longer had E! or the experience of randomly flipping through channels like Bravo and MTV, I realized I stopped having any idea who those gossip people are.
Home alone in the summer + having cable + being born before 1989 = you should have seen this movie by now
I’m a little shocked my troll sensors didn’t go off sooner. Dude is totally trolling.
“way too many black people for a 1950s show in my opinion”
It’s making Io9 really hard to read.
That’s not how math works.
I’m guessing that they were readily available from the fur industry, and you can kind of see the skull inside the mouth up at the top. Makes total sense to get a real jaw for cheap instead of trying to craft one from scratch.
It’s for calling out the tropes specifically. There was really bad writing, and Hopper’s character is where it shows the worst, but the tropes are intentional and most people “got it” and found them fun.
I don’t see it, but starting around Episode 5 she started to sound like her.
Wozniak originally dumped Facebook just three weeks after the Cambridge Analytica scandal broke in March of 2018
Does “nuke” = sell for toys? What did you use, and how did it work out for you? I’ve just read too many nightmare stories about sellers on eBay with buyers filing claims to get refunds and keep their sets, but I have no idea what else to try.
Minor pushback - the paper guys making fun of their young intern is one thing for establishing the fact that everyone is playing to 80s stereotypes. Mike not apologizing is a tenth grader not knowing how to be a good boyfriend. But the absolutely terrible lines between Hopper and Joyce (and between Jonathan and Nancy),…
The show is portraying them as the evil superpower we thought they were in 1985.
Which is great until they become 60 year old trees growing OVER your house and clogging your gutters.
It’s definitely unique. And clever. And looks really fucking cool either from the front or the back when the two versions are stacked. But the piece count is inflated by all the tiles, and this should really be a $120 set (max), not a $200 set.
Kinja’d
Same. Some of this excerpt had what I would expect from pop-thriller pacing, but some of the writing was really cringey. The whole “as you know, Tom” bit about Black Swan should have been edited down to like one sentence. Someone slept through the “show, don’t tell” class at summer writing workshop.
