When I cut cable about 5 years ago and no longer had E! or the experience of randomly flipping through channels like Bravo and MTV, I realized I stopped having any idea who those gossip people are.

Home alone in the summer + having cable + being born before 1989 = you should have seen this movie by now

That’s not how math works.

Minor pushback - the paper guys making fun of their young intern is one thing for establishing the fact that everyone is playing to 80s stereotypes. Mike not apologizing is a tenth grader not knowing how to be a good boyfriend. But the absolutely terrible lines between Hopper and Joyce (and between Jonathan and Nancy),

The show is portraying them as the evil superpower we thought they were in 1985.

Yeah but Martin O’Malley is a delicious snack.

Peacocks are, sadly, not smarter than our president. But it might be a draw.

Hard disagree. Dude is a freak.

Well, one of them was his “trainer” and I’m 99% sure the other one was (also) a FWB situation so I’m guessing the history of paying them with personal checks in the past made it seem like the latest one wouldn’t be any different if the police investigated his bank records.

Odyssey is a weird mix of the things that defined 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy. I’m not sure they picked the right mix. I really loved having the castle as a launch pad that opened up as you progressed in 64, and the ship that did the same in Galaxy. I never liked the functionality of the FLUDD, and here the hats are

The four great machines felt like the first three dungeons in Ocarina of Time - compact, mostly intuitive, very manageable if you keep your cool and pay attention to detail. That’s what I love about Zelda games.

I agree that the feeling of exploring and finding new things and new people to help and hey is that the place this memory is from?! were great. The problem is, all of that exploring and learning is presented by the game as building up to: defeat Ganon. But none of the exploring and conquering felt like progress once I

The entire game was so freaking frustrating.

It’s the difference between the Loading property (which can be ignored, allowing multiple attacks with the Attack action) and the Ammunition property (which requires a free hand to reload). XBE only allows the character to ignore the Loading property, not the Ammunition property.

No, you’re forgetting the Ammunition property, which is the mechanics that require a free hand.

Gloom stalker is probably a little too far of a swing in the opposite direction - I let a friend run one in a two-week guest appearance in my home game (one of the NPCs in Blingdenstone in Out of the Abyss) and he absolutely danced circles around the other players.
