I have a bigger problem with the extensive green screen - even just a couple physical sets would have vastly improved the appearance of the film (and given the amateur actors a more immersive environment to explore, which might have helped them appear better on screen on as well).

It’s not about that. It’s using the phrase “Choose Your Own Adventure” repeatedly in the film and in its advertising campaigns.

The term ‘choose your own adventure’ has become a general name for the entire genre though
