Your comment made me recoil.

Edison - Look how dangerous this electricity current is!

Haha yeah, Edison zapped that elephant and made it all a public show. What a barbaric asshole he was.

My earliest memory was when Tesla had to cold test the Roadster in Canada. That’s when Martin Eberhard remarked to the effect that building cars were harder than he originally thought. Anyway, most don’t remember him since Elon Musk replaced Marc Tarpenning and Eberhard as the only founder of the company /s

I want to see the metric on that though. Sheer volume isn’t really a good measuring stick for productivity. A smaller plant with less people producing items with a lower time per item would be more productive despite a lower total output.

Those things are not what we call mutually exclusive.

Turns out all of those things are true at the same time.

“Most productive factory” just seems to be synonymous with “basket with the highest percentage of the company’s eggs in it” in this case.

Neutral: I was super enthusiastic about Tesla at first. The roadster was extremely promising, and I thought Musk was a real innovator who was here to bring us into an EV future.

Free electricity to all through large towers spaced out around the US. Good times. Also, the AC/DC war and public battles, which ironically lead to the invention of the electric chair.

So much this. If NCAP is good enough for the world’s biggest markets, it’s good enough for us.

It is way too easy to get your driver’s license in this country. We need laws that requires more skills behind the wheel and actually keep checking our driving skills well into old age. Just one day of driving around Florida will demonstrate the need for better driver training for new and older drivers.

It’s this - the FMVSS.

I can see where the styling cues came from...

I think the US take is “those people walking know what they signed up for.”

I was going to buy it, but since there’s no manual...

Grand Wagoneer Trackhawk.

This is spoken like a man who cant drive a stick with a shit, although correct. Sticks are so much more fun who cares!

Stick shift for performance? No. For nostalgia? Also no.

You aren’t going to believe this, but they sell two versions of what you want already!
