I know why he went no hands, however the technology there is triggered by feedback only your hands could give, and not triggered when there is no movement of the wheel. That’s the point.

Yeah, whoopy—doo. If it didn’t need hands, it wouldn’t have a steering wheel. I know the tech is GREAT, but we would all be able to tell by the lack of movement/feedback through the wheel even with hands on it. You don’t see Le Mans drivers on a straight at 200mph going “look ma, no hands!”

“Do not try this at home” should have been followed by a “keep your hands on the wheel at all times while driving” warning as well. I’ve got no respect for stupidity, especially when it overshadows greatness.

And I’d bet only one Porsche 918 owner drove his car around yesterday with full knowledge of Le Mans. One.

That looked like one of those super-hard hits when you’re playing bumper cars, and you’re holding the wheel full lock, spinning around—and all of a sudden someone’s on your front quarter and you twist right into them. You ALL know what I’m talking about.

Jesus, how the hell would I be able to drive with all of that ACURA all over the place?
