Loved the last 2 episodes. I actually watched eagerly, and not out of obligation. Bravo to whomever realized they needed to get back to the core cast, as you pointed out Carrie. I was sure the show was done after this season, but this new revival gives me hope.

That is super funny. I think I'd actually enjoy that one. Hahaha I could tell they were setting that possibility up with the intimate fire side chat, ending with Nora telling Bonnie she's beautiful. Plus, Kats wish for a a female romantic relationship.

I'm over the flash forwards. All they are doing is matching up characters. They were exciting at first, but if each week is just another shocker of a random pairing, then booooring. :/

This is true… happy couples are not interesting couples, so it makes the writers come up with over the top "problems" constantly.

I agree… I don't think we've seen the end of Caroline and Stefan. I don't like them together as a couple at all, but I don't think the plot would be that black and white.

How did I not think of Cami turning??? That literally didn't even cross my mind. I thought "She's human, I guess she's done." Silly me.

I agree. I think Nora (or the actress) could be pretty good with a decent story line and some good writing. I haven't seen anything I like from ML though. They should keep Nora and Valerie and let the rest fade away while moving on to a much better story line. ;)

Wait… Beau is just done? Like that? He didn't do anything! What was the point?? Ugh. Annoying.

That's been a very problematic point with the heretics for me. Supposedly they are all powerful-not to be messed with, and yet we rarely see them cast a spell, let alone feed on anyone or kill anyone.

Absolutely. I keep thinking… they honestly aren't using/don't know what to do with the majority of the cast. Matt, Ric, Bonnie, and Caroline have no story line or place. And these are our regulars!!

I wondered that too. That was an awfully blatant set up.

Bonnie is good with anyone, we've established that. So I liked her conversations with Nora. But I just wish they weren't SO horribly forced and fast forwarded. I think the ML and Nora break up needed to happen a few weeks ago, with Nora seeming lost and trying to fit it. It would make Bonnie's instant friendship a

50% of the episode had me cheering YES!! This is the VD I know and love and the other 50% was a reminder that, nope, this is still the same S7 mess. I think this was one of the best of the season, but compared to past seasons (which at this point, isn't fair at all), it's no match at all. I mean remember the last fall

Elena was the heart for me too, and as much as I love the other characters, it just can't be the same. I really wanted this season to succeed, but being the 7th season already (where you really need to up your game on story lines because so much has already been done) AND missing your leading lady, it just isn't

Yes, this is exactly what I don't understand. Early in her pregnancy, she should be completely able to keep up with the others in any form, because she has a stunt double to do the tricky stuff anyway. So, why leave her out of everything and put her on bed rest? And if you're going to do that, at least give her some

YES! They were GOLD as bff's! When I rewatched the old seasons, their friendship was so real and genuine and fun to watch. Back to that please.

Whoa, you totally lost me! I thought this was a discussion forum? We post our thoughts and other people choose to reply and respond with their thoughts? I was respectful. If you didn't want to be a part of the discussion, it would be better to not post at all, or post on a blog with the comments section turned off.

I think why Damon's character plays so well consistently is that whether Damon is "bad" or "good" - he still has the same personality. He's still snarky and impulsive and emotional. Sometimes he does that while saving the day, and other times while ruining it. But he still gets to be Damon throughout. With Stefan, we

I'm really REALLY frustrated with the Caroline story line (or lack thereof). She sits on her bed every episode and says a few whiny lines and then… that's it. Easy pay check, I guess. Sucks for us though.

COMPLETELY disagree about Elena. She may not have had the best writing over the course of 6 seasons, but that girl SLAYED her part and her character had a million times more depth than Lily ever did. The writing for Lily's character was erratic, unfocused, and flat. But overall, yes, I think that's been the whole
