I think that's coming… from interviews, there's (in Ian's words) an incredibly powerful episode coming up that reveals information about his mother in the past. It's the one where he says he lost weight because the filming was so intense, etc… So I think the next few episodes are going to give some backstory on Lily…

I agree… If you like, or already have an interest in an actor, it makes it so much better. I haven't watched her other shows, but I really enjoy her IG and Twitter.

We are definitely being force fed Benzo, because they don't know what to do with them. So, AT LEAST they have great chemistry together, so I don't mind it. I'd watch Bonnie and Enzo over Enzo and Lily or Ric and Care Bear any day. Damon and Bonnie are friends, but right now they don't fit into each other's story…

Oh, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE start with Season 1!! I actually loved season 6, but seasons 1-3, especially, are amazing and the heart of TVD. And yes, you will get loads of backstory for all the characters.
