I think we have to completely forget the age at which these vampires turned. If Caroline had progressed naturally, she would be 24ish right now and has lived enough drama and heartache to last a lifetime. Women's bodies are mature at 16-18, I don't find this to be a problem at all. Usually the issue with a 17 yr old

Due to the nature of this show, having Accola hide in baggy shirts and hide behind counters sounds awful to me. And it's very distracting as a viewer because you know what's up. I think a show where the main character can sit behind a desk or stand behind a kitchen counter is a lot different than the way this show

Bonnie (and really Kat Graham) has grown the most over the course of the series, I think. She's knocking each performance out of the park - whether it's heavy and sad or snarky and humorous.

Yeah, I giggled that Julie Plec was live tweeting the episode with Malarkey, Davis, and Roerig and Matt wasn't even IN this episode. lol I think he's just part of the family and they can't say goodbye. Might be a good end-game death though for the finale.

No, it was never explicitly explained. When the other side was disappearing, it seemed that the supernatural beings caught there were either being sucked into darkness (like Silas, Markos, and Katherine) or enveloped in light (like Grams and Lexi). Sort of a heaven and hell thing.

I loved to hate Klaus. And Kai. And Connor. And Silas sucked for evil intentions but the humor that Wesley got to play with him was epic. Lily? Nothing. Don't hate her, don't like her, don't feel anything for her. Maybe because she plays the part so emotionally restrained? I don't know. I didn't like her last season

I was thinking about this today… why are they holding back showing the heretics' power?? For example, the mean girls showed up at Damon & Stefan's last week to break a vase and drop a drink on the floor??? Oooooo, scary…. Oscar blowing up the lights this week, or Beau destroying the coffin room was more like it.

I found them!! Yay! Loved the Reign displeasure at the take over. ;) I have to admit, that particular batch was hard for me to read as a die hard Delena fan. << ducking for cover >> Please don't kick me out. ;)

That was a bizarre pointless story, leading only to a way to get Stefan to turn his humanity off. Remember it even started with Monique, the faux-Sarah. A lot of story for no payoff.

Looks like the hunter (or one of them at least) has been cast and will be introduced in ep12. And my first reaction was, how many doppelgangers does Nina Dobrev have???http://tvline.com/2015/11/0…

Maybe it's Jeremy ;)

I think she said she would only return for the finale, but of course anything could happen. And thinking about it again… Damon was next to Elena's coffin in his flash forward so l think maybe she's still ok too.

Fantastic! Thanks. I watch Reign too, so I'll check it out. I loved season 6.

This. All of this.

I was strangely on board too… And I don't get on board easily. I think Bonnie has been phenomenal lately with everything she's given, so maybe it's just that she elevates those around her.

My random thoughts:
1) I can't figure out if I like the show more or reading Carrie's reviews afterward better. lol I re-watched the entire series over the summer and stumbled upon this site during season 2. I would watch an episode, then come here and read the review and comments. It made it an entirely different

I definitely do! They endured the prison world together and that was intense. Damon was the last to see her, and she knew he was working to bring her back (the atlas tip.) Plus, I'm assuming she came to the Salvatore house expecting to see everyone. That moment was one of my all time top five TVD moments!!!

Absolutely. And that should have been the route the writers took when introducing the new cast. Give us mostly the familiar, while bringing in the new. In what other seasons do we spend loooong chunks of screen time with all new characters?? Never! They're slowly acclimated in with the stronger regulars until all the

I think the reason Bonnie, Damon, and Alaric work so well is because it's the only familiarity we have as the audience. They took away all the old sets, introduced an entire new cast with no backstory, Elena is gone, Stefan and Caroline (who had the most amazing platonic friendship) are now a couple, Enzo is with the

She did come back in last season's finale. The flashbacks Elena was having from before her parents died.
