Regression? I can’t even get to the starting line :( We’re working on it though.

I lie down and allow my kids to draw on my back with washable markers. They think its daddy being silly, I get to rest and know where they are even with my eyes closed, and it is a relaxing feelin .

Although this sounds reaffirming in theory, it is quite exaggerated in practice. My partner stays home with our daughter while I go to work for a medium range salary. This would make it seem like my partners’ work is more valuable and disregards how hard it is to actually go to work while being a mother. After

The top .1% hold as much wealth as the bottom 90%. That sound like it’s working as intended to you? Trickle down my fucking ass. My father raised three children on a single blue collar salary with enough left over to take vacations, purchase new cars, and put away money for retirement. I am in my 40's, still paying

This right here.

Basically what I hear from Warren is, “I’m telling you what you want to hear but will 100% walk it back as soon as I have to start fighting for those general election votes.”

Why did the 90's not get an illustration? Are we just expected to go look up YouTube videos of Lisa Loeb and mentally place them in the article?

I’m 100 percent in support of the entire Giz family resigning and creating their own independent publication free from Great Hill’s bullshit, and would do everything I could to help out. And a paywall would totally be worth it if it keeps everyone safe from vulture capitalists.

Not sure there’s gonna be a better place to post this, so here we go:

We may not all be as eloquent as Will at the end there, but I think it’s safe to say we all feel the same way.

Hey Drew. You’re the best, and good luck with the brain and everything.

They did repost an earlier Splinter article on vulture capitalism on all the other sites, which was a wonderful move, I thought.

As the (proud? constantly sleep-deprived?) father of two small boys, I’m all too familiar with Blippi. He was a bit of a crutch when the first was unruly, but we learned our lesson. Three anecdotes/observations:

So, my kid loves Blippi. And because I love my kid, I looked into the Blippi Live tickets. They are not coming to my state. But I did read the FAQ and saw that it was going to be a fake Blippi and I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I don’t really want to pay for my kid to see a fake Blippi. On the other hand, I don’t

I get the disappointment. Even at three, my little guy had questions. But my question really is what will a stage show even look like with this guy? His entire schtick is running around like a maniac with a camera in tow looking at stuff in kid focused businesses. how on earth will this translate into a one man show?

I think what you were raised on plays a huge role in this. I only ate fried eggs as a kid because I thought scrambled eggs were too dry unless they had cheese on them.
